I have been trying to narrow down my favorite Gretel memories, and it's simply too hard! So I'm choosing a few:
1. I remember the first time I saw you. I was in the kitchen of our apartment and I looked out the window at the alley and saw a girl with cute short curly hair and I thought, "Hmmm, I bet that's Gretel." And I was right.
2. Part of the reason that I was so excited to get my job at the library was that I knew you worked next door and that meant that I got to see you, even though we weren't roommates anymore.
3. Playing Mario Kart at your apartment, and just hanging out in general after I got married. And I loved that you and Bryan seemed to get along so well. It meant a lot to me that you approved.
4. Visiting you in PA!
5. Getting to hang out with you and Will and watching So You Think You Can Dance.
And pretty much everything else. To quote one of Peter's books, "You are my splendid friend. My splendid friend indeed."
